White Christmas (1954) is one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies. Perhaps it is that I grew up watching it. Perhaps it’s just because it’s a touching story with lots of music. Whatever the reason, it has become a tradition to watch this movie the day after Thanksgiving, and to this day, the end still gives me goose bumps.
The Greatest Showman is an entertaining musical and a good family movie. The cast is talented, and the plot is good. My sisters really liked the music and said it was catchy. I enjoyed the music, but personally didn’t find it catchy. To me the music sounded too edited/studio manipulated. I’m used to music styles like Wicked, Newsies, The Scarlet Pimpernel, etc. and this music, while good, wasn’t my style. However, this is a movie I wouldn’t hesitate to watch again or recommend. It’s simply a movie I wouldn’t buy the soundtrack too.
