Jumanji (PG)

JumajiThe 2017 film Jumanji is more like a sequel than a remake. And, I think it is clever how they adapted the idea of Jumanji (previously a board game in the 1995 version with Robin Williams) into something that modern teens would use/could relate to (a video game). The film pays tribute to the 1995 version with a small reference to Alan Parish (Robin William’s character in the original), and has more of a back story and more character development than the original.

There was a little bit more profanity than I was expecting in a PG movie, and there is some crude humor. But overall, the movie was entertaining, funny, and enjoyable.
